The first two graphs show the maximum vertical deflection in
thousandths of an inch due to shaft bending. The
diagonal lines give the midpoint deflection per pound
of force for overall shaft lengths in two inch increments.
The horizontal scale is pounds, and the
vertical scale shows deflection in thousandths of an inch. |
The next two graphs show the maximum
deflection per inch-pound of applied torque.
The moment arm is measured from a point
midway between the shaft centers, while the
gantry axis is halfway through its stroke.
The horizontal scale is inch-pounds of torque, and the
vertical scale shows deflection in degrees.
